Google Analytics is one of the most powerful, and heavily used, analytics platforms there is. And it’s changing.
Most changes in Google Analytics have historically been building on existing reports, functionality and increasing performance. Google Analytics 4 is different, it uses an entirely new data model, metrics are counted differently and some have gone altogether. Also… everything is now considered an Event. Yes, even a Session.
Sounds scary, but with some knowledge you can prepare yourself and ensure you understand what’s new, what’s different, what’s stayed the same and as well as the limitations and controls with data. Remember you only have until 1st July 2023 to get your Google Analytics 4 account set up and understand how it works.
In this virtual session, via Zoom, we’ll go through
A brief history of Google Analytics
Account Configuration and what the various settings and structures mean
Data Settings including collection, retention and deletion
Data Model, Events and Parameters
Plus, some tips and changes you might need to know about
