In this HubSpot tutorial, we will walk you through how to create default values for personalization tokens in HubSpot.Personalization tokens render property values based on your tracked contacts’ associated CRM records. If someone viewing your content doesn’t have a value for the property you’re using to personalize your content, the default value will be shown instead.In this tutorial, we will show you how you can create default values for personalization tokens Steps to Follow:Step 1. To use local default values for personalization.Step 2. Navigate to your content it can be a website page, landing page, or email. Step 3. Navigate to marketing in the dropdown menu and click email.Step 4. Locate the specific email you’re looking to edit. Hover over the name of email and click Edit. Step 5. Within the content editor, click on the rich text module where you want to add personalization.Step 6. In the upper right corner of the rich text toolbar, click Personalize.Step 7. Click the Token dropdown menu, then type in the search bar to look up the property you want to use to personalize your content. Click the property to select it as your personalization token.Step 8. Enter a default value, which will appear for any visitors who don’t have a value for the property you’ve selected. Step 9. If you’ve set global default values for any personalization tokens that you want to apply to this content, select the Use this property’s global default value checkbox. Click Insert.Step 10. To use global default values for personalization and set the default values for personalization tokens used on your pages. click the settings icon in the main navigation bar.Step 11. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Website and Pages.Step 12. Click the Personalization tab.Click Edit defaults to edit either Contact property defaults or Company property defaults.Step 13.
