This video will tell you how they work and how you can get started.How are you finding performance max yeah very good you need to give it a bit of time let the algorithm learn and don’t make too many changes and as I said earlier on don’t expect things to happen too quickly either but once it starts to run it really does work wonderfully well I would highly recommend that you have the assets as well, especially the video assets. Because if you don’t have video a third of that asset group is empty. You have the text, you have the images, you don’t have the videos. So video creation is extremely important.And this is why you know those who have started or are starting video marketing or video ads right now are going to stay ahead from the rest of the pack. Very soon in my humble opinion, Google is going to take away the keywords. Right the way things are going. They’ve taken away broad modified. Exact match is not exact anymore. Phrase is not phrase anymore. So it’s going broader and broader. Right? And eventually, Google won’t need any keywords.They will know exactly who we are after. What we are looking for and we are going to just target those audiences. Which is fine as long as the algorithm works and it works wonderfully well. Especially with performance max. There are no keywords with dynamic search ads, there are no keywords. Once you set it up properly, it works wonderfully well. So, it’s better for us because there’s less work. Now, you might think as an agency owner, freelancer, oh I’m going to be out of my job very soon. Well, you will be if you don’t evolve yourself. You need to think of new ideas. How can you stay in front of your competitors? So, I started doing video marketing about four years ago.I wish I had done 10 years ago has started but anyway, and very few agencies are doing video marketing I can count them, on one hand, are doing these live streams are uploading videos regularly and those who are doing this will stay ahead now with video you need to be creative you need to learn how to create these videos which you can then upload test and optimize right I have more time to focus on creating the creatives rather than matching around with the keywords. So for me is going to be even better. If we get rid of or Google gets rid of keywords we have one less hassle thing one less thing to worry about. Which keywords, how many keywords we should have, which match type, shall we put them in the same ad group, shall we keep them separate, how we use negative keywords and so on.All of that is going to disappear and all we do is just keep on focusing on the creatives and the landing page experience which very few people look at because all the blame goes on Facebook and Google oh they don’t work, I set it up properly, I use exact keywords, I did split testing, I wrote different ads and so on but they don’t look at what’s happening on the other side running ads is one part of the equation the other one is where those clicks take that visitor to that landing page. So you need to do that as well. Look at everything, the whole landscape, not just Google Ads. Here’s a quick guide to what you need to know about Performance Max campaigns in Google Ads.So, the Performance Max is a new goal-based campaign type that allows performance advertisers to access all of their Google Ads inventory from a single campaign. That’s right you heard it right from a single campaign so what we have learnt over the years to keep search, display, video, Gmail, shopping all these types of ads in separate campaigns because all of them have got separate metrics. Google have completely turned the tables around and simplified it in a way that it is super easy and very effective to run such a campaign time and if you’re not running it yet, you should be by the end of this session. So, what they’ve done is they’ve thrown all their toys into one place into one campaign and they’ve taken away the keywords. Now, this is great news for those of you who struggle with keywords. If you struggled with the keywords, match types, negative keywords, search queries and all that, there’s none of it. You don’t need to worry about it.Google has created this campaign type which on the basis of the audience only and in my humble opinion I think keywords are the days of the keywords are now numbered sooner or later they are going to take it away because the algorithm is getting so powerful we really won’t need keywords as such. So they’ve thrown everything in here. So as you can see on the screen we’ve got images, we’ve got logos, we’ve got videos, and we’ve got text. All of them in one ad campaign or ad type. Then you can run these ads on YouTube, Gmail, Search, Display and discover all the five Google channels and networks.So it’s a very powerful way to get your name in front of that and it’s not only about branding and brand awareness is as they said it’s a goal-based campaign. You can run campaigns on the basis of your conversions. What your CPA is, what your ROAS needs to be all of this you can run and tell Google what you are looking for. So, here’s what all these ads or one ad needs all of these items. So, you can upload up to 20 images, 5 logos, 5 videos, 5 headlines of 30 characters each, 5 long headlines of 90 characters each, one description of 60 characters, 4 descriptions of 90 characters, call to action button, business name, final and display URL.Now, I don’t know why they make it simple and get rid of the description I guess for 60 characters is for smaller ad sizes which I can appreciate but then they’ve got five headlines of 30 characters and five headlines of 90 characters again depending on the size of the ad. They’ve got that but it’s pretty difficult to keep up with all of these different character counts and how many ads or how many headlines and descriptions they need. But it’s all in there you can’t go wrong even if you don’t remember it by heart. So I’m going to show and share some of the ad previews as to the how these ads look in the interface when they are run. So here’s a YouTube ad. Google Adwords Responsive Search Ad Optimization – Tips and TricksThis video shows you how to get ideas for the headlines that Google’s AI likes.Google has declared that we can no longer create or edit expanded (standard) text ads after June 30, 2022!This announcement means you can only create Responsive Search Ads now. These are AI-driven ads. Google’s AI picks the headlines and descriptions from your ads resources to compile an advertisement for the person searching at the time of the search.Your ads are made up of 15 headlines and four lines of description. Google will give your new ad a poor to excellent rating. Poor means you have not entered enough headlines. Average means you have about seven headlines. Good means you have all 15 headlines; however, Google thinks there could be better options. Excellent means you have all 15 headlines and four lines of description that Google likes.My problem with Responsive search ads is that the reporting sucks, you have no control over the ad copy shown to the person searching, and you can no longer perform split testing. On top of that, Google’s AI is transactional ad-driven, and most of my customers are doing relational or branding advertising making them harder to optimize.
