Bord Gais Energy cleared to take control of Swyft Energy [Video]

The proposed acquisition by Bord Gais Energy Limited of sole control of Ardrar Holdings Limited has been cleared by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.

Ardrar Holdings Limited is a holding company with sole control of two companies: Ardrar Limited (trading as Swyft Energy) and Ardrar Technology Limited (trading as Pipelyne).

Swyft Energy provides home heating services such as the installation of solar photovoltaic (Solar PV) systems, gas boilers, smart heating controls, EV chargers and other ancillary products.

Ardrar Technology Limited (Pipelyne) owns the customer relationship management software that connects Swyft Energy with its customers and manages the business digitally.

Bord Gáis Energy Limited generates, sells and trades energy for use in the State.

BGE’s other service offerings are the sale and installation of boilers, servicing and repair of boilers, and the installation of solar photovoltaic (solar PV) systems.

The company also provides services relating to heat pumps, smart heating and electric vehicle charging.
