VIDEO #1 – How To Set Up A Domain For a Site Home Page… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-t_s1_VIBU

I want to show you a new feature in ClickFunnels that allows you to set up a domain or subdomain to redirect to a specific funnel within your account. Previously, all domains and subdomains would redirect to the site homepage. But now, you can set a subdomain to go directly to a funnel, making it easier for visitors to access your funnel pages.

I’ll demonstrate how you can have someone enter the root domain or even a “broken” version of the subdomain, and they’ll still be able to access the funnel. I’ll show you the result first, then explain how to set it up. By copying the funnel URL and pasting it into an incognito window, you’ll see that the funnel loads correctly, even when using variations like “www,” “https://,” or removing the subdomain altogether.

The key is to ensure that visitors get at least the domain part right, and optionally, the path at the end. This way, even if they make mistakes like typing the wrong subdomain or forgetting the “www,” they’ll still land on the desired funnel page. This is particularly useful since people often mistype URLs, and you want to ensure they reach your funnel after your marketing efforts.

To set this up, you’ll need to configure your domain and subdomain settings within ClickFunnels. First, remove any path at the end of the funnel URL. Then, set the subdomain you want to use for this funnel and ensure your site’s default domain is correctly assigned. You’ll also need at least one additional custom domain besides your ClickFunnels subdomain.

Next, you’ll need to set up two additional DNS records in Cloudflare: one for the root domain pointing to ClickFunnels, and another with an asterisk (*) to catch any subdomains and redirect them to ClickFunnels as well. This ensures that visitors can access the funnel even with incorrect subdomains.

Finally, you’ll need to create two page rules in Cloudflare. The first rule redirects the root domain with any path to your funnel URL, appending the path. The second rule catches any subdomain or variation and redirects it to your funnel URL, appending whatever was entered after the asterisk. By following these steps, you can ensure that visitors can access your funnel pages seamlessly, even if they make mistakes in typing the URL.
