How to review a HubSpot Forecast on your desktop

HubSpot Forecast is a powerful tool designed to help businesses predict and analyze their sales performance accurately. It provides users with insights into future sales revenue based on existing data, helping them make informed decisions and plan strategies effectively.

In this video, we guide you through the process of reviewing a HubSpot Forecast on your desktop, empowering you to optimize your sales strategy and achieve excellence.

With detailed insights into metrics such as Goal, Closed Won, Gap, and Forecast Submission, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your team’s performance.

1. Start by logging into your HubSpot Account and navigating to the Sales section.
2. Once in Sales, locate and click on the “Forecast” option to access your sales forecasts.
3. To analyze your forecast based on deal stages, simply click on the “Deal stage” tab. Alternatively, if you prefer to review forecasts categorized by specific criteria, click on the “Forecast category” tab.
4. Utilize the dropdown menus located at the top of the page to further refine your analysis by filtering according to pipeline or close date.
5. For a detailed review of forecasts pertaining to a particular team, click on the respective team name.
6. Note that users with Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise seats will automatically be included in the forecast tool. If you need to locate a user not assigned to a team, use the search function located in the top left corner.
7. Within the team table, analyze various metrics such as Goal, Closed Won, Gap, and Forecast Submission to gain insights into team performance.
8. Additionally, explore insights provided in the pipeline table, including Pipeline value and Pipeline coverage.
9. Next to each user’s name, analyze Goal attainment, Total forecasted amount, and Pipeline coverage ratio.
10. To delve deeper into a specific user’s forecast, simply click on their name.
11. If you need to access the deal record for further examination, click on the deal name.
12. Customize the columns displayed to focus on relevant information by clicking on “Edit columns” located in the upper right corner. Select or deselect checkboxes next to the properties you wish to display, then click “Save.”
13. If you need to add next steps to progress a deal to the next stage, enter notes in the “Next step” field. Any text entered here will populate the “Next step” property on the deal record.
14. Finally, to save your changes and return to your forecast overview, click “Back to Forecast” located in the top left corner of the screen.
